When Considering Water Fountains For The Wall

By Petra Berg

Adding water fountains to your home can be a great way to add interest to any room. Not every fountain will be a perfect match for your home so here are a few tips to choosing the right one for you.

Taking your time to analyze and weigh all the factors will ensure your happiness with the unit you choose. Start by examining what wall you want the fountain to be mounted on. You want to make sure the unit will blend seamlessly with the wall and not overpower or underwhelm it.

Next take some time to consider the room you want to place the fountain into. For example does it have a lot of foot traffic such as a living room or hallway. An inappropriately large fountain can make it difficult for people to walk by often resulting in an accident. So make sure there is sufficient room for people to pass safely.

Some people will want to place a fountain in a more quiet area such as their bedrooms. Size and placement still are important as well. You will want to both visually enjoy the unit but audibly as well. Choose a fountain that is big enough to see and hear but not to big as to destroy the serenity you are trying to achieve.

Measure your wall you plan on placing the unit on and take those measurements with you when you go shopping. Bring a ruler or tape measure with you so you can measure the fountains you come across. Listen to how noisy or quiet they are and see if that is appropriate for where you want to place the unit. You also want to see if the fountain is visually satisfying as well.

Your home has many walls that can be easily touched up with the addition of water fountains. A good fountain will add visual appeal to any home quickly and with minimal effort. Its important to properly choose a unit by its visual appeal as well as how it sounds.
